When booking with an Educator, it is important to understand that Educators work hand-in-hand with their Associates throughout the appointment. Associates may assist with color application, foiling, glossing, shampooing, blow drying, and finishing work. They are involved in the technical aspects of the service because that is how mastery is developed through guided, real-world practice.
Your Educator remains in full control of the appointment at all times. They conduct the consultation, create and approve the formulation, determine the service plan, oversee all technical steps, and make final decisions regarding the outcome. The Associate functions as a second set of hands supporting efficiency and precision while working directly under the Educator’s supervision.

What does it mean when I book with an Educator?
When you book with an Educator, you’re booking with one of our most experienced stylists someone who not only provides services, but also trains and mentors our associate team.
Western Blonde Salon is proud to be a working education salon. That means we are committed to growing the next generation of highly skilled stylists through structured, hands-on training inside the salon environment.
There is no better way to master this craft than through real, supervised experience.
Will an Associate be part of my appointment?
Educators work hand-in-hand with their Associates during appointments. Associates assist with hands-on portions of your visit such as:
- Color application
- Foiling
- Glossing
- Shampooing
- Toning
- Blow drying
- Finishing work
They are actively involved because that is how professional mastery is developed through guided, real-world practice.
Your Educator remains in full control of the appointment at all times.
They:
- Conduct your consultation

Why does my appointment look shorter on the schedule?
You may notice your service is reserved for approximately 45 minutes to 1.75 hours on the schedule. This does not mean your service is shorter.
Educators are able to work efficiently within the same time window by partnering with an Associate for support.
Important:
Even though the scheduled time may appear shorter, the service itself will still take the appropriate amount of time often several hours depending on what you’re having done.
This structure allows us to maintain quality and consistency while maximizing efficiency.
Will I still receive the same quality of service?
Your Educator is fully accountable for the outcome of your service. Associates are coached, supervised, and supported throughout the appointment.
This collaborative structure allows us to deliver consistent, high-level results while developing a highly trained team.
We do not compromise standards for the sake of education; education happens within our standards.

Can I request not to have an Associate assist?
Because we are a working education salon, Educators typically work alongside their Associates. This structure is part of how we operate and maintain efficiency. If you have concerns, we’re happy to discuss booking options with another stylist in the salon who is not an educator.
Is the Associate working independently on my hair?
No. Associates do not operate independently during Educator appointments. All services are supervised, directed, and approved by your Educator.
Does booking with an Educator mean my appointment will be rushed?
Not at all. The service itself takes the appropriate amount of time. The scheduling format simply reflects our team-based workflow.
